Spring Lake won it's season opener on the road at Muskegon Hts. 60-50. After first half jitters that saw the Lakers score only 20 points and commit 17 Turnovers, Spring Lake played a better second half that led to 40 points and only 4 Turnovers. Junior Lucas Lyyski led the Lakers with a 17 points,10 rebounds and a thunderous third quarter dunk! Senior Sam Negen added 12 points while Junior Cayden Ball fought through foul trouble to score 9. Junior Zach Keyser ruled the paint with 5 points and 6 rebounds. The Lakers play host to rival Fruitport Friday night at 6:00.
