Spring Lake moves on to the District 41 Final Game with their 53-46 victory over Hudsonville Unity Christian on Wednesday at Allendale High School. The Lakers were up 11-8 after the first quarter and took a 25-19 lead into halftime. The Crusaders kept battling and eventually tied the game up 41-41 in the 4th quarter. Spring Lake then close out on a 12-5 run to secure the victory.
Ella Andree led the Lakers with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Alexa Carter had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Emma Nicles chipped in 6 points. With foul trouble and injuries affecting the Lakers throughout the game, Spring Lake got huge contributions off the bench from sophomores Nia Theune (8 pts, 6 rebs), Ellie Wrona (7 pts) and Tessa Britt (5 pts, 3 rebs).
Spring Lake now 11-10 with take on host and fellow OK Blue rival Allendale at 7:00 on Friday, March 3
