On a perfect day for track and field in Allendale on Thursday night, the Laker boys exceeded their already high expectations in Regional competition. Finishing 3rd overall, Spring Lake is sending 3 relays and several individuals onto the Division 2 State Finals set for June 3rd.

Capping off the night was a first place finish for the Lakers in the 4x400, with Jackson Gee, Caden Kyser, Jaxson Tober, and Tanner Guczwa crossing the line in 3:23.28. Tober also took first in the 300 meter hurdles, breaking the school record in 38.23 seconds. Ethan Grevengoed grabbed first in the 800 meter run, with a time of 1:58.46. 

Individual state qualifiers for Spring Laker also include:

• Jackson Gee: 100 and 200 meter dashes
• Tanner Guczwa: 800 meter run
• Caden Kyser: 400 meter dash
• Parker Woodwyk: 3200 meter run
• Jaxson Tober: 110 meter hurdles

4 x 200 Meter Relay - school record and state qualifying: Tober, Kyser, Darrel Lawrence, and Gee

4x 800 Meter Relay - state qualifying: Grevengoed, Luke Glasgow, Woodwyk, and Guczwa
